Summer tradition, story of fireworks
In August, festivals and fireworks festivals are being held here and there.
Tokyo in July of this year was relatively cool, so it's finally summer! It's like that.
Fireworks of such a summer tradition.
It is held in various places, but I would like to introduce my favorite fireworks display.
That is the "National Fireworks Festival Omagari Fireworks" held in the Omagari district of Daisen City, Akita Prefecture, one of Japan's three major fireworks festivals.
The tournament, which is held in a large venue on the riverbed of the Omono River that runs through the center of the city, is characterized by the fact that there are few tall buildings around it, so it is possible to see it from a distance, and anyway, you can see the powerful fireworks up close.
Another unique feature is the daytime fireworks.
The fireworks display is held on the last Saturday of August every year, but as the title suggests, it is not just a fireworks display.
It is a competition where fireworks artists from all over the country wield their skills, and it is said to be the best in Japan in terms of scale and authority.
Moreover, among several fireworks competitions in Japan, the "National Fireworks Competition Omagari Fireworks" and the "Tsuchiura National Fireworks Competition" are sponsored by the Japan Fireworks Association and awarded the "Prime Minister's Award". Ibaraki Prefecture Tsuchiura City) ”only two tournaments.
Even if you look all over Japan, the daytime fireworks are held only here. It will start from around 17:00 when it is still bright.
Unlike the effect of light like fireworks at night, you can enjoy the color of smoke and the impact of sound, and the appearance of colored smoke such as red, yellow, green, blue, black, white falling from the sky with a loud sound It's quite interesting.
By the way, full-scale night fireworks will be competed in the No. 10 ball section and the creative fireworks section.

In the No. 10 ball section, two No. 10 balls are launched.
Its magnificent size and the sound that echoes in your body are impressive!
On the other hand, the creative fireworks section pursues the creativity of fireworks masters, such as form, color, rhythm, and three-dimensionality, with the theme of fireworks.
There are many works that have a story and match the image of music, and I am even more impressed!
From the two parts of the night, the "Prime Minister's Award" will be given to the fireworks master who made the most excellent fireworks.
In between competitions, there is also a fireworks display provided by the competition, which launches Widestar Mine magnificently for about 5 minutes, which is the centerpiece of the competition.
Naturally, the roads and trains are very crowded because it is crowded with many spectators. It's a good idea to come early, set up a tent and camp on the riverbank.
There are many food stalls and sideshows, so you can enjoy the tournament all day long.
There is no doubt that you will get a lot of excitement.
